Beaches in Lanzarote range from the beautiful white sands in the north to the dark volcanic beaches of Puerto Del Carmen.
The main beach in Puerto del Carmen is the long and busy Playa Grande. Adjacent to the old town is Playa Chica which plays host to a wide range of sporting activities including diving, jet skiing, parasailing and snorkelling
Playa Dorada Beach
Playa Dorada Beach is located in Playa Blanca right outside Centro Comercial Papagayo.
Playa Flamingo beach
A few minutes walk to the west of the town along the sea-front walkway, is the Playa Flamingo beach which is a extremely clean, safe and attractive beach.
Papagayo Beach
In the South of the Island near the resort of Playa Blanca is Papagayo which is the most beautiful beach of all.
Famara and La Santa Beaches
If you want to surf or go body boarding the beaches of Famara and La Santa in the west of Lanzarote are the places for you. Famara is world famous for its surf but have very large waves and is not for the faint hearted.
Las Cucharas Beach
In the north of the island near Orsola there are a number of white sandy beaches which are quite isolated but can be accessed by foot. In the northeast in the Costa Teguise you will find Las Cucharas which is famous amongst the windsurfing community and has been a breeding ground for several international champions.
El Reducto Beach
El Reducto in Arrecife is a wonderful golden beach which faces a number of Canarian bars where you can sit and watch the world go by.
